Judith Jones Stryker, 71, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Journeys
Crossing in Elkton, Virginia.
Judy was born September 6, 1942, in Washington, D. C. and was the daughter of the late
James Edward Jones and Doris Kaufman Jones.
She was a graduate of James Madison College in 1966. She worked as an elementary
school teacher for three years in Falls Church, Virginia, and then worked for the U. S.
Census Bureau up until her retirement in the 90s.
On April 14, 1973, she married Donald Arthur Stryker and moved to the Shenandoah Valley in
1996 from Alexandria with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Edward Jones and
Michael Eric Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning, August 6, 2014, at Kyger
Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. Visitation will follow the Service at Kyger
