Rae E. (Downey) Davis, 64, of 9 Royal Road, died Tuesday in University of Massachusetts Hospital after a long illness.

Her husband, Robert E. Davis died in 1984. She leaves two sons, Robert E. Davis II and Raymond J. Davis, both of Worcester.   Born in Worcester, daughter of Raymond J. and Edyth K. (Solin) Downey, she lived 20 years in Arlington, Virginia, before moving back to Worcester in 1984.

Mrs. Davis was a clerk for McGraw-Hill Publishing in Washington, D.C., and was an antiques dealer in Worcester.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Linquist-Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street.  Burial will be in New Swedish Cemetery.  A calling hour is 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
