Kelly Godwin Harding, 68, who taught English, journalism and creative writing at Annandale
High School for 18 years until her retirement in 1995, died October 22 at a hospital in
Lakewood, New Jersey. She had emphysema and pneumonia.
Mrs. Harding, who moved to Jackson, New Jersey, from Annandale in 1995, also supervised
the student newspaper at Annandale High. Earlier, she spent about two years as an
English and French teacher at Wakefield High School in Arlington.
She was a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, and a graduate of the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro.
Her interests included bird watching.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Paul E. Harding Jr. of Jackson; and two sons,
Jeffrey Harding of Alexandria and Douglas Harding of Jackson.
