Wakefield Reunions and Events
Wakefield Classes are busy at work planning reunions and maintaining web sites to keep classmates connected. Here are some resources and plans for upcoming reunions. If you’re planning a reunion or have questions about a reunion, be sure to contact our reunion liaison, Ellen Mackay '77. She can provide your class list, let you know what other classes are doing and even make arrangements for you to borrow the totem pole and student newspapers from your year. 1960 - The upcoming schedule includes: - Annual Picnic, October 7 - 10, 2010 - 50th Class Reunion - contact jcmidgett@verizon.net. 1961 - The Class of ‘61 is now beginning to plan their 50-year event. See the class page for details. 1965 - The Class of ‘65 is looking for interest in planning a 45-year event. See the class page for details. 1968 - Kathy Hale Schaffer has been the self-appointed coordinator for the 1968 class reunions and wants classmates to know she is retiring from that position. She no longer has the time. Is anyone interested in taking over the job? " 1974 - The Wakefield Class of 1974 has created a website (courtesy of classmate Gary Kubicek) to use as their home for items of interest from the past and present, as well as for future announcements about planned gatherings or general information for and about the Class of ‘74. All alums are welcome to check it out at www.wakefieldclassof74.com. One of the objectives is to use this site as a way of staying in touch with each other.
